We start by providing patients with an initial consult, exam, and digital imaging. This gives Dr. Kenworthy a clear picture of whether or not you are a good candidate for clear aligners and how your teeth may move with this treatment. Once you decide to move forward with the plan, we can create your aligners right here in the office. You will wear each set for 2-4 weeks and then move onto the next set. We recommend monitoring your treatment with appointments every 4-6 weeks. Your only job? Wear the aligners for 22-24 hours every day and practice good dental hygiene. Yep, that’s it! Benefits of Clear Aligners There really are no ‘cons’ when it comes to clear aligners. Of course, only you can make the final decision about whether or not it is the right option for you - but here are some benefits to consider: Discreet. Clear aligners are virtually invisible when worn, making them a discreet orthodontic treatment option. Comfortable. Clear aligners are custom-made to fit snugly over the teeth, offering a comfortable and irritation-free orthodontic experience. Removable. The aligners are removable, allowing patients to easily take them out for eating, drinking, brushing, and flossing. This flexibility gives our patients control over their treatment. Predictable. This treatment utilizes advanced 3D imaging technology to create a personalized treatment plan, allowing patients to visualize their final results before treatment begins. Fewer Office Visits. Compared to traditional... --- Benefits of Clear Braces Kenworthy Orthodontics offers clear braces made of glass. Unlike traditional metal braces, which use metal brackets and wires, clear braces blend in with the natural color of the teeth, making them less noticeable. Aesthetic Appeal. The brackets of clear braces are made from transparent porcelain materials, making them much less noticeable compared to metal braces. Discreet Appearance. Glass braces blend in with the natural color of the teeth, making them less conspicuous and more visually appealing. Comfort. Porcelain braces typically have smoother edges compared to traditional metal braces, reducing the risk of irritation and discomfort to the lips, cheeks, and gums. Stain Resistance. The materials used in glass braces are resistant to staining and discoloration, helping to maintain a bright and attractive smile throughout the treatment process. Effective. Despite their discreet appearance, glass braces are highly effective in correcting a wide range of orthodontic issues, including crooked teeth, overcrowding, gaps, and bite misalignments. They work in a similar manner to traditional metal braces, gradually moving the teeth into their desired positions over time. Customizable. Glass braces come in a variety of shades, allowing patients to choose the color that best matches their natural tooth color or personal preference. Types of Braces In addition to clear braces, Dr. Kenworthy offers some other options for braces for patients looking for alternatives. Lingual Braces Lingual braces are a type of orthodontic treatment where the brackets and wires are placed on the inner surface of the teeth, facing the tongue.... --- PagesAdult Orthodontist in Missoula, MTBlogCommon Ortho QuestionsContact UsHomeKids Orthodontist in Missoula, MTMeet the DoctorPrivacy PolicyServicesBracesClear AlignersSitemapTeens Orthodontist in Missoula, MT XML Sitemap --- Common Ortho Questions - Kenworthy Orthodontics Skip to content About Services Braces Clear Aligners Kids Orthodontist Teens Orthodontist Adult Orthodontist Common Q’s Forms Contact Us Appointment Make a Payment Common Ortho Questions How long will it take? Orthodontic treatment is different for everyone. It depends on where your teeth started and how you want them to finish. However, the techniques Dr Kenworthy has developed allow you to reduce the time you have to wear braces by up to 9 months! How often do I have to come in? Dr Kenworthy needs to see you periodically to ensure optimal treatment.  For most patients, he will monitor you once every couple months. However, if you need to be away for a while, he can even monitor the movement and positions of your teeth digitally through your smart phone. What about insurance? Your dental or medical insurance may or may not cover a percentage of the fees for orthodontic treatment. While we cannot render services on the assumption that our fees will be paid by an insurance company, we will gladly provide any necessary information that is required by your insurance company for you to file a claim.  Do I still need to see my dentist for cleanings during orthodontic treatment? Yes. Dr Kenworthy feels it is very important for his patients to continue their routine dental care with their dentist. In fact, we suggest you coordinate dental cleaning appointments with your orthodontic adjustment appointments. We will be happy to schedule your appointment so that your brace wires can be removed prior to going to the dentist. ... --- Dr Kenworthy attended Brigham Young University for his undergraduate education.
